While Lori McCommas was still on the phone with a 911 dispatcher, Terrence Howard arrived at her home and began forcing his way inside, breaking down the front door. In a desperate attempt to escape, McCommas ran to the kitchen and then out into the backyard. Howard, however, chased after her, smashing through the kitchen’s screen door to reach her. When he finally caught up to her, he seized her left arm and delivered two punches to the left side of her face with a closed fist. Thankfully, Howard’s brother intervened, ending the assault and preventing further harm.

Following the incident, Howard faced multiple charges, including simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment, and stalking. In 2002, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, bringing a legal resolution to the case.

After his relationship with Lori McCommas ended, Terrence Howard went on to marry twice more. He was married to Michelle Ghent from 2010 to 2013 and later to Mira Pak from 2013 to 2015.
